Residential Air Duct Cleaning

Keeping your home clean starts with the air you breathe

You’re committed to keeping your home clean and sanitary—but if you aren’t cleaning your air ducts frequently, you’re leaving a big piece out of the puzzle.

Your heating, cooling and home ventilation flows through your air duct —and, over time, dust, bacteria and, even, insects and rodent droppings can accumulate. Without proper, professional cleaning, those harmful contaminants can flow through your home unchecked.

Keeping your home’s air quality high

You wouldn’t knowingly breathe dirty, unhealthy air—but, chances are, you are. Any home naturally accumulates dirt, dust and dander over time. When that makes its way into your air ducts, it immediately starts circulating throughout your home, lessening your indoor air quality and, even, leading to allergies and illnesses.

That, though, is just the beginning. If your ducts are damp or if leaks are reaching your vents, you could be growing mold and mildew out of plain sight—and, again, that could lessen your air quality and make you sick.

Expert cleaning with TruClean

Our expert team at TruClean have been cleaning residential air ducts and vents for decades, helping homeowners in the greater Memphis area maintain high quality air in their homes and offices. During each inspection and cleaning we check for—and quickly remove—common allergens including dust, mold, dander, cobwebs, mildew and other debris and contaminants, leaving your vents and your home clean from the inside out.

Using industry-leading tools and equipment including high power vacuums, scrubbers and extraction tools, we’ll ensure your ducts are clean and sanitary. We’ll also remove signs of rodents and insects from inside ductwork.

Consistent, comprehensive cleaning

Keep in mind, even the best and deepest air duct cleanings aren’t a one-and-done. Over time, dust, debris and other contaminants will continue to build up, negatively impacting the air quality in your home—again.

The solution is simple: with scheduled, ongoing cleanings with TruClean, your air ducts will get—and stay—clean. This ensures your home’s air will always be fresh, clean and
allergen-free—and that not only improves your family’s health and well-being but, also, can lower your energy bills.

Will HVAC system cleaning reduce our home energy bills?

Research by the U.S. EPA has demonstrated that HVAC system cleaning may allow systems to run more efficiently by removing debris from sensitive mechanical components. Clean, efficient systems are less likely to break down, have a longer life span, and generally operate more effectively than dirty systems.

How often should residential HVAC systems be cleaned?

Frequency of cleaning depends on several factors, not the least of which is the preference of the home owner. Some of the things that may lead a home owner to consider more frequent cleaning include:

  • Smokers in the household
  • Pets that shed high amounts of hair and dander
  • Water contamination or damage to the home or HVAC system
  • Residents with allergies or asthma who might benefit from a reduction in the amount of indoor air pollutants in the home's HVAC system
  • After home renovations or remodeling
  • Prior to occupancy of a new home.

How Vent and Air Duct Cleaning Works

There are two ways to clean your system: one method connects a high-pressure hose through the duct work which removes interior particles; the other method uses a large vacuum and brushing system designed especially for air duct cleaning and furnace services. Fans, coils, registers and pumps must also be cleaned, and a disinfectant sprayed throughout the system will eliminate mold, bacteria, dust and mites. Both methods should only be done by a trained professional, like TruClean Home Services.
